Is Impact Axe insured?

Impact Axe is insured by Philadelphia Insurance Companies.

Can I sign a liability waiver in advance?

You are able to fill out the liability waiver on our website by visiting www.impactaxe.com/waiver. We recommend that you fill it out at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time to check in so the check in process doesn't eat into your throwing time. This will allow you to maximize your time throwing axes!

Do I need to sign a liability waiver?

Everyone that comes into Impact Axe will need to have a liability waiver filled out even if you aren't throwing. If you have filled out a digital waiver after November 20, 2020, you will be in our system and won't need to fill one out again to participate.

Is it safe to mix axe throwing and drinking?

If you wish to throw and enjoy our selection of craft beers, you may not exceed 3 beers within a 90 minute period for the safety of you and those around you. You must be 21 years or older to enjoy our alcoholic beverage selection. You will be asked to show valid ID upon ordering.

Is axe throwing safe?

Here at Impact Axe, we believe the best kind of fun is safe fun! Axe throwing is set up similarly to most target sports with a set of safety precautions in place to help you and your group have maximum fun. We have a team of people dedicated to showing each person how to safely handle your axes and hatchets, how to properly throw your axes and hatchets, and how to eliminate potentially dangerous situations.

Can I bring my own axe, hatchet, or things to throw?

Impact Axe will provide all axes and hatchets to throw. No outside objects will be permitted to use at the facility with the exception of competitive axe throwers. If you are in an axe-throwing league or compete, please talk to our front office staff about using your own competition axe. You must provide proof that you are a competitor or training to compete in an axe-throwing league to qualify.

What should I wear?

It is important to wear closed-toed shoes (no flip flops, exposed toes, or slip on shoes). We also recommend that you wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move in since you will be required to throw an axe or hatchet above your head.

How does the Corporate or Private Event deposit work?

You will be required to give a non-refundable deposit in order to reserve your Corporate or Private Event. Your time and date are not secure until the deposit is made.

Can I be refunded a portion of my payment if I don’t use my entire hour?

You and your party are responsible for paying for the entire time that you have reserved, even if you do not choose to use the time you have reserved.

What is your refund policy?

You may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before your reservation and not be charged the remainder of your event fee. If you cancel with less than 48 hours before your event, you are responsible for the entirety of the agreed upon amount.

For Corporate and Private Events: You must put down a $60 non-refundable deposit upon booking your reservation.

Is parking available at your facility?

Impact Axe has plenty of parking for you and your party.

Is your facility wheelchair accessible?

Yes. We even have a target that can accommodate wheelchair participants. Please call ahead of time to let us know if you need your target adjusted.

Is your facility air conditioned?

Yes, we have both air conditioning and heating.

Can I make a reservation for a party or corporate event?

Impact Axe is the perfect place to host a birthday party, bachelor/bachelorette party, divorce party, corporate event, and any other party you can think of! We can help make your event unique to you and your guests so it will be a party to remember! You will be required to put a non-refundable deposit upon reserving your event. Please call or email our events team to get a quote and start planning.

How do I book?

You can book reservations by calling the Impact Axe office at 916.295.2906. Walk-ins available based on first come first serve if lanes aren’t already reserved ahead of time. If you wish to book a private or corporate event please call the front office or contact our event coordinator.

What if I need to change or cancel my reservation?

You are able to make changes to your reservation date or time based on availability with 24 hours or more advance notice. You may cancel your event with 24 hours notice. If you cancel your private corporate reservation with less than 24 hours notice you will not be refunded your deposit.

What if I’m running late for my reservation?

If you will be running late we ask that you call our office at 916.295.2906 and alert us. If we have openings in our schedule, we can change the start time of your reservation, but if we don't, your time will not change and your end time will stay the same. You will still be charged for your full reservation time even if you are late. Your time begins and ends when it was reserved in our system.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive around 15-20 minutes early to allow time for the check-in process. If you arrive to your appointment time late or your check in process takes longer than you anticipated, it will eat into your throwing time.

Can I bring people under the age of 18?

You must be at least 12 years old to participate. If you are under 18 you must have a parent or guardian sign your waiver next to your name. Children are welcome as long as they each have a liability waiver filled out. You are responsible for your children during your reservation time. We do have games available and a kids velcro axe target that we can set up upon request. The kids target is available first come first serve.

Are spectators allowed?

Spectators are welcome provided they stay in the designated spectator spaces and have a liability waiver filled out.

Can I throw if I am pregnant?

We recommend that you talk to your doctor prior to participating in axe throwing. It is up to the discretion of the individual. If you are pregnant and want to throw, you must sign a liability waiver.

What is the minimum participation age?

You must be at least 12 years old to participate. ID’s will be checked. If you are under 18 you must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver for you.

What is the difference between a private event and walk-in?

Private events are reserved for larger parties such as corporate events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday parties, graduation parties, divorce parties and more! Private events can be scheduled during non business and business hours.

Walk-ins are first come, first serve based on availability during operational business hours. We recommend calling ahead of time to book a reservation so you are guaranteed a lane to throw on. You can book a reservation to secure your space for a preferred date and time by calling the front office at 916.295.2906.

How long can I use a lane?

You can book a lane for hour increments and are welcome to stay as long as you like. Most people reserve for 1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hour time slots. You're welcome to reserve for as long as you want to throw though, knowing that you are charged by the hour.

How many people can you have per lane?

Our lanes accommodate 1-5 people per lane with a maximum number of 5 throwers per target. If you have larger parties we can reserve lanes next to each other. This is a first come first serve opportunity based on availability.
